Wendy Miller MA, LPC, Founding Partner of Sparrow House Counseling

Wendy has called the Park Cities home for over 25 years. Before moving to Dallas, she completed her undergraduate work at Oklahoma State University in the field of Family Relations and Child Development, and then spent a year serving at Shelterwood, a residential center for teens of families in crisis.
Wendy first moved to Dallas to work for Highland Park K-Life. As the Women’s Director she spent seven years mentoring and discipling adolescent girls and working with families in the community. In 2001, Wendy decided to pursue a Masters in Biblical Counseling at Dallas Theological Seminary in order to use her gifts and skills in a professional setting.
During her time in graduate school, Wendy served as a counseling intern on the Trauma Floor at Timberlawn Mental Health System. Wendy has been in private practice since 2004 and has cultivated experience with individual, couple, and group counseling. She worked closely with those struggling to overcome childhood trauma, sexual abuse, eating disorders, anxiety, codependency, mood disorders, depression, and family of origin issues.
Now in practice at Sparrow House Counseling, Wendy enjoys working with individuals and families as they seek to take the next step in their personal recovery and healing. Due to her extensive experience with teenagers and their families, coupled with her long term proximity to the Park Cities, she feels especially called to the dilemmas and struggles germane to local families. It is Wendy’s hope that she will use her experience and insight, marry it to her formal education, and serve this community well.
