Reagan Abernathy
Reagan Abernathy

Reagan is from the Houston area and completed her undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University. During her time at A&M, Reagan had the opportunity to mentor high school students through Young Life, where she walked with them through both the difficult trials and joys of life. It was through her time as a Young Life leader that Reagan became passionate about helping those around her who are suffering, and this experience led her to pursue a career in counseling through Dallas Theological Seminary. At DTS Reagan received her Master’s in Biblical Counseling and completed her internship at a private practice here in Dallas where she gained experience in working with anxiety, depression, life transition, body image issues, self-esteem/self-worth issues and more.

Reagan believes that healing can come within the context of a safe and secure therapeutic relationship, and works to provide this experience for all of her clients. She supports her clients in their journey to establish boundaries, create healthy coping skills, and gain confidence in who they are. She believes counseling is an opportunity to partner together in order to discover what it looks like for you to experience true freedom and joy. Reagan knows that it takes courage to begin counseling, and she is passionate about creating a safe, warm, and compassionate space for clients to process and move towards healing.

In her free time, Reagan enjoys spending time with her husband and their friends, going on long walks with their pup Beau, reading a good fiction book, and getting outside as much as possible!
