Macey McCarty MA, LPC

Macey grew up right here in the Dallas area. She completed her undergraduate studies at Texas A&M University where she received her Bachelor’s in Health and a minor in Psychology. After receiving her Bachelor’s degree, Macey worked on staff at a church in College Station, TX. While on staff, she had the opportunity to help launch a ministry for college women while simultaneously running the Early Childhood ministry. It was through her experience discipling college women, and ministering to young children and their parents, that she grew passionate about walking alongside individuals as they navigate their way through their various trials and life experiences.
Macey then went on to receive her Masters in Biblical Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary. Her clinical experience includes counseling in both the non-profit and private practice setting. Macey has experience and enjoys working with anxiety, depression, disordered eating, OCD, sexual abuse, trauma, grief and loss, and life transitions.
Macey believes strongly in the therapeutic relationship, as this has been a tremendous source of transformation and healing in her own life. She believes that healing happens in the context of relationships, and is dedicated to cultivating a safe and welcoming environment where her clients can come as they are and work collaboratively towards their goals. She is also mindful to integrate a variety of evidence-based interventions in her treatment in order to produce the most positive outcomes in therapy. Ultimately, Macey’s desire is to help her clients become more grounded and walk in greater freedom.
In her free time, Macey enjoys spending time with her friends and family, going on long walks, traveling, serving in the children’s ministry at her church, watching Aggie football, and exploring new coffee shops around town.
