Lori earned a BA in Speech Communications from the University of Texas at Arlington and an MA in Counseling from Dallas Baptist University. A native of Texas, Lori enjoys travel and as a young adult lived in the Philippines where she worked in support of local missions to college students. Throughout her life she has made lasting friendships with people from a variety of communities, cultures, backgrounds, and beliefs.

For the past 25 years Lori has resided in the Park Cities and East Dallas. Through her community and family she has experienced firsthand numerous emotional, physical and spiritual challenges associated with raising well-balanced daughters, coping with the death of family members, separation & divorce, becoming a single parent, returning to full-time work and earning a masters degree. During these years, Lori learned to experience peace & contentment through the combination of counseling, faith, and community resources. She now considers it a privilege to compassionately guide young and older adults, who are navigating through trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, life-transitions, parenting, divorce, improving communication and matters associated with faith and spiritual growth. Lori has received training in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness and Coping Skills and uses these evidence-based treatment models to increase client's awareness, challenge unhelpful thinking and guide themselves toward a value-based authentic lifestyle

When she’s not meeting with clients, Lori enjoys spending time with her friends and family, riding her bike or walking around the lake, cheering on the Texas Rangers, or hanging out on her patio while reading a good book. In the spring and summer, Lori loves the adventure of exploring hiking trails with her two daughters in Texas, Colorado, Arkansas and beyond!

Lori is engaged in her local church community through teaching and supporting youth and women’s activities (of every age level) as well as engaging with teams on local and short-term foreign missions.
