Katie Wilder

LMSW, Supervised by Cristina Sevadjian, Ph.D., LPC-S and Jane Ballard, LCSW-S

Katie was born and raised in Dallas, TX. After graduating from Highland Park High School, she completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Samford University in Birmingham Alabama. One of Katie’s favorite parts of her time in Birmingham was mentoring high school and college aged girls through various ministry opportunities.

During her undergraduate studies, Katie worked with families and children both in Birmingham through schools and in Greece helping families and children work through trauma. This led her to complete her master’s in Social Work at Samford University. During her time in graduate school, Katie gained experience at a community outreach center where she worked with families and churches providing treatment planning and resource securing. Katie continued to work with individuals and families with emotional development and personal growth. Katie’s additional areas of clinical experience include working with children and adolescents through anxiety, depression, behavioral concerns, familial relationships, trauma, and other mental health issues, as well as with adults surrounding their children’s stressors and personal growth. Also, she has received PCIT training as required by PCIT International. Katie has a heart for working with children and adolescents as they learn more about who they are and were created to be. She believes that this is best done through authentic relationships and meeting someone where they are.

In her spare time, Katie enjoys being outside, typically on a good porch or in the sun with a cup of coffee (hot or iced). She loves going for walks with her husband Jamie and their dog Sunnie, and sitting around a table full with friends, family and food!
