James is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary where he acquired his Masters degree in Biblical Counseling, and he acquired his Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration from Berea College. James has had unique opportunities which lead to a variety of life experiences that have shaped his work. This included 5 years in the United States Marine Corps and 13 years as a law enforcement officer in Georgia. James loves working with first responders, especially law enforcement, understanding the unique stresses they face on a daily basis. James also works with adolescent males and young adults knowing this can be a very difficult time for someone especially in our ever-changing fast paced, media driven world. James also works with couples who are having problems with communication and conflict.

When not working James loves spending time with his wife Renee and their two Dachshunds. James enjoys sports, reading (especially historical figures and theology) and spending time with his two adult sons and daughter-in-law.
