Cassidy was born and raised in College Station, Texas to a family of Aggies. Unsurprisingly, she received her undergraduate degree in communication from Texas A&M University. During her college years, she developed a love for working with children and teens as a camp counselor at T Bar M Camps and as a youth group volunteer at her church. With a desire to turn this passion into a lifelong career, Cassidy pursued a master’s degree and moved to Dallas. She went on to graduate with a degree in counseling from Southern Methodist University where she received specialized training in working with children and their parents. During her time in school, Cassidy served two internships, one at the SMU Center for Family Counseling and the other at the Children’s Advocacy Center for Collin County. Simultaneously, she worked at a local neurospychologist’s office that specializes in treating children. Cassidy has experience counseling children and adolescents with anxiety, depression, trauma symptoms, and a variety of behavior concerns.
In her free time, Cassidy enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, and barre classes.
