Anna grew up in northern California and moved to Dallas with her husband where they both pursued their graduate degrees while learning to navigate adulthood as a newly married couple. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Fresno Pacific University in California and earned her master’s degree in Counseling Psychology at Southwestern Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, TX.
Anna’s pursuit of a career in the mental health field began in 2005 when she first got to work with adults diagnosed with varying types of mental retardation. She was moved and inspired not only by the resilience of these individuals in the face of adversity but also by the commitment and compassion of the people working with this population. Most recently, Anna worked as a Milieu Therapist in a psychiatry clinic at Children’s Health. The last 10 years were full of incredible professional and personal opportunities that confirmed her passion and calling to work with adolescents and young adults, to commit to walk alongside them through some of life’s biggest challenges to relentlessly pursue their healing, their dreams, their best life.
Anna enjoys spending time with her husband and their three children. She loves to read and won’t say no to a John Grisham novel or anything by Leo Tolstoy. She loves a good camping trip up in the mountains of California or just kicking back and digging her feet into the warm sand on a beach. Her other passion includes hosting dinners with her husband at their home for friends old and new.
