Sparrow House Counseling

Calli Marvin

MA, LPC

Calli has been counseling young adults at Sparrow House since 2011. Originally from Dallas, she attended Lake Highlands High School and received her Bachelor's degree from Texas A&M in 2009. After college, she went on to Dallas Theological Seminary, where in May 2012 she completed a Masters in Biblical Counseling. It was there that her family of origin issues came to a head and she was able to embark on her own journey of recovery.

While in college and seminary, Calli spent her summers leading campers and counselors at Kanakuk Kamps, tutoring high-schoolers, and directing family leadership conferences for incoming students. Calli’s background with adolescents and young adults, coupled with her own experience of her parent’s divorce in high school, has fostered a love for and unique understanding of her clients. She is especially passionate about helping others gain a sense of identity and find their voice, after struggling for years with self-doubt, anxiety, and codependency. She believes healing happens within the context of relationships, and remains committed to helping others cultivate authenticity and love who they were created to be.

Personally, Calli enjoys all things artistic, reading up on new research, a good patio, and spending time with her husband, kids and rhodesian ridgeback.
