Becky Page has been practicing counseling in Dallas since 2004. She originally hails from Fort Worth and received her Bachelors degree from Texas Tech University in 1998. It was there that she began to study addictions and developed a love for the recovery community. Her background in Young Life and Kanakuk Kamps honed her skills with adolescents and upon graduation she pursued work with teens via local churches and eventually K-Life Ministries.
During her time in youth ministry, Becky began to see the effects of her own issues with performance, codependency and insecurity. The result was clinical depression but the gift of that was a healthy therapeutic relationship that eventually pushed her to receive her Masters in Counseling from Dallas Seminary. Her own recovery work in Celebrate Recovery helped build an understanding of addictions, relationship issues and the relevance of living in a community of vulnerability.
Becky’s history with adolescents has provided rich fodder for working with them in counseling. Her own work in recovery has given her the desire to counsel women seeking healing from addiction, codependency, relationship issues, sexual and emotional abuse, obsessive thinking, worry, control and other struggles. For the past several years, she’s also enjoyed working with couples seeking to improve their marriages and takes great delight in marriage counseling.
Therapy can be a scary experience, but the right therapeutic relationship can facilitate growth, healing, and freedom from the past. That was Becky’s own experience and she hopes her clients will find renewed hope in life. Becky takes great joy in good friends, the outdoors, music, running and most of all, her husband, daughter and young son.
